This training course will provide you with a comprehensive foundation in the basics of electricity, enabling you to advance your skills further and participate in the Practical Webinar (Part 1): Wiring of Compressors and Basic Electricals.
In Chapter 1, you will explore the essential components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and metering devices, which are vital for system functionality. You will gain insights into the widespread applications of refrigeration in both everyday life and industrial contexts. Additionally, you will delve into thermodynamic principles, focusing on the relationships between pressure, temperature, and phase changes, which are fundamental to mastering refrigeration systems. Effective refrigerant management is essential to minimize environmental impact and promote environmental responsibility. Furthermore, you will learn about critical safety practices for handling refrigeration equipment. Understanding how to utilize SI units and tools will ensure clarity and consistency in measurements and calculations for refrigeration systems. Duration of Chapter 1 is approximately 2 hours.
In order to pass this course and receive a Certificate of Completion you must obtain a minimum of 75% for the quiz and submit a Course Evaluation form. You have one attempt to pass the test. If you are unsuccessful, please contact the Training Manager to arrange for workplace coaching before attempting the course again.
